What Is Knitted Interlining?
Knitted interlining is a support fabric made with a looped, knitted construction rather than interlaced warp and weft yarns. The loop structure gives it natural give and a soft handle, so it reinforces the outer fabric while still moving with it.
This makes knitted interlining the right match where a garment must hold its shape without feeling stiff. Instead of working against the outer fabric, the interlining follows it and the body beneath, helping the finished garment keep a soft, natural drape through wear. Weight selection then controls how much body the interlining adds.
