Our product range includes classical woven interlinings from 20 g/cm². We process the most varied and advanced fiber materials, turning them into superior quality front interlinings for ladies’ and men’s wear as well as fusible and non-fusible interlinings for blouses and shirts. Non-elastic and elastic wefts are part of our portfolio just like jersey and charmeuse.
A wide range of colors ensure easy application and allows top-quality, unlined processing of garments.
Overview
Woven interlining is a support fabric with a warp-and-weft construction, placed between the outer fabric and the lining to give a garment structure. Because it is built like the cloth it supports, it handles, drapes and responds to pressing in a similar way. This is why woven qualities remain the traditional choice for tailoring and for shirts that need a clean, durable finish.
Woven interlining can be fusible, bonded to the outer fabric with heat and pressure, or non-fusible, sewn in during make-up. The construction of the weft then fine-tunes how the reinforced area behaves on the body.
Applications
Front interlinings help fronts and lapels keep an even, smooth line in ladies’ and men’s tailoring.
Fusible and non-fusible qualities give shirt and blouse components a crisp shape that lasts.
Each interlining is specified for the role it plays in that part of the garment.
FAQ
Our classical woven interlinings start from 20 g/m². Tell us your outer fabric and the garment part, and we will confirm the right weight and send samples.
A fusible interlining carries an adhesive and is bonded to the outer fabric with heat and pressure. A non-fusible, or sew-in, interlining is attached by stitching and leaves the outer fabric free to move independently.
An elastic weft gives the interlining some stretch across its width, so it moves with softer or stretch fabrics. A non-elastic weft keeps the reinforced area firm and dimensionally stable.
Woven interlining behaves like a fabric and suits tailored fronts and shirts. For light, versatile fusing across many garment types, see our thermobonded nonwoven interlining.
