A reusable all-weather blanket with a waterproof, windproof and breathable three-layer build. It keeps people warm and dry in patient transport, emergency care and outdoor use.
Product Overview
The Caretex Thermo Blanket is an all-weather protection blanket built to withstand rain, snow and wind. Its water-repellent outer face and waterproof polyurethane middle layer stop the weather from getting through, while the soft microfiber inner face keeps the user comfortable.
Unlike foil emergency blankets, it is breathable and fully reusable. Body moisture can escape as vapour, so the user stays warm and dry for longer, whether waiting for an ambulance, travelling in a wheelchair or sitting by a campfire.
It comes in a standard double size of 200 × 220 cm, in beige or grey, and in two fabric weights. It washes at 90°C for hygienic reuse. The Thermo Blanket folds compactly into emergency kits and vehicle bags.
Construction
Rain and wind stay outside, body moisture escapes as vapour.

Key Benefits
The PU middle layer keeps rain, snow and wind out, with a hydrostatic resistance of at least 0.8 bar (EN ISO 20811).
Body moisture passes through the PU layer as vapour, so the user stays dry instead of clammy under the blanket.
The three-layer build traps warmth and shields against wind chill, helping keep body heat steady in cold conditions.
Washable at 90°C, the temperature used for hygienic laundering in healthcare, with area shrinkage of max. 2%.
A durable, washable alternative to single-use emergency foil blankets that can be used again and again.
Soft microfiber on both faces, strong tear and tensile values, and it folds compactly for a bag or vehicle kit.
Applications
It has three layers: a soft, water-repellent microfibre outer face, a breathable waterproof polyurethane (PU) middle layer that blocks rain and wind, and a soft, water-repellent microfibre inner face against the body. The edges are finished with stitched binding all round.
Yes. The three-layer build traps warmth and shields against wind chill, helping to keep body heat steady in cold, wet and windy conditions.
For the standard 465 g/m² version (1.9 mm thick), tensile strength is min. 580 N (warp) and 370 N (weft) per 5 cm to EN ISO 1421, and tear strength is min. 55 N and 70 N to EN ISO 4674-1. Data for the 600 g/m² version is available on request.
It is used in patient transport, by wheelchair users, in emergency and first aid kits, for disaster relief and in care homes, as well as for camping and hiking, as a sleeping bag liner and at outdoor events. It folds compactly for bags and vehicle kits.
