Built to Become Part of the Boot

Gentuğ manufactures custom PU-coated textile liner socks — welded or stitched, in various shapes and sizes — for injection-molded boots, galoshes and other footwear applications. In welded construction, the liner is placed inside the mold before PU or TPU injection, becoming a permanent part of the finished boot; stitched construction is sewn to shape from the same fabric bases. The liner fabric itself is a PU-coated textile — 64% polyurethane coating combined with either a nylon or a polyester (PES) base, with a minimum hydrostatic pressure of 0.35 bar.

The fabric is finished with Devan BI-OME, a permanently fixed freshness treatment that keeps the lining odour-free through microbial prevention. Antibacterial performance testing is also available as an optional add-on for customers who require it.

The 90°C wash-cycle result above is a fabric-level QC test performed on the liner material before molding — it is not a care instruction for the finished boot. Once injected, the liner becomes a permanent part of the boot; clean and care for the finished product according to the boot manufacturer’s own instructions.

Waterproof PU Coating

64% polyurethane coating with a minimum hydrostatic pressure of 0.35 bar, retained even after a 90°C wash cycle.

🌿

Devan BI-OME Finish

Permanently fixed freshness treatment keeps the lining odour-free through microbial prevention.

🔥

Heat & Pressure Resistant

Withstands the heat and pressure of the injection molding process without losing its properties.

Elastic in All Directions

Stretches evenly over the mold or form for a smooth, wrinkle-free fit.

Welded or Stitched

Available in welded (no-stitch) or sewn construction, built to your production specification.

Welded or Stitched — Built to Your Specification

We manufacture custom PU-coated textile liner socks for injection-molded boots and other footwear applications, offering both welded and stitched construction. Liners can be developed in various shapes, sizes and material specifications to match your production requirements.

Welded Construction

The liner is placed directly inside the mold before injection. The PU or TPU is then injected around it, permanently bonding the liner to the outer shell in a single step.

No stitching, no needle holes — nothing for moisture to travel through
Elastic in all directions for a wrinkle-free fit over any mold shape

Stitched Construction

Sewn to shape from the same PU-coated fabric bases, for applications where a welded liner isn’t required or suited.

Same fabric bases, colours and OEKO-TEX certification as welded liners
Consistent PU coating quality across the roll for reliable production runs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the PU Injection Boot Liner made from?

A PU-coated fabric: 64% polyurethane coating over either a 36% nylon base or a 36% polyester/PES base, at 125 g/m². See Colour Options below for available colours per base.

Is the liner welded or stitched?

Both are available. Welded liners are placed inside the mold and the PU/TPU is injected around them in a single step — no needle holes, no seams. Stitched liners are sewn to shape from the same PU-coated fabric bases. Which one fits your application depends on the boot design and your production process.

Does the liner fabric hold up to washing?

As part of production quality control, both fabric bases are tested to retain a minimum 0.35 bar hydrostatic pressure after a 90°C wash cycle. This is a fabric-level test performed before molding — once the liner is injected into the boot, it becomes a permanent part of the finished product, so cleaning and care should follow the boot manufacturer’s own instructions rather than a standalone wash cycle.

Does the liner offer hygiene protection?

The fabric is finished with Devan BI-OME, a permanently fixed treatment that keeps it fresh and odour-free through microbial prevention. Antibacterial performance testing is available as an optional add-on.

Is the fabric certified?

Yes. Both the nylon-based and PES-based fabrics are certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

What colours are available?

Blue on the nylon base; Red, Orange and Khaki Green on the PES base. Custom colour combinations are available on request for OEM and volume orders.
